1 little, 2 little, 3 little MONKEYS!

My friend and I decided to start a "date night". One weekend a month we keep their kids one evening and they keep ours the next. Megan has 3 kids. The oldest is 3 years. The youngest is 6 months and the middle child is was born 12 days before Graham. They are all boys. Poor Caroline, she is always outnumbered!
So, here are some pictures taken when I was keeping all 5 kids.....

The older kiddos

Carter

Baby Grant!
He is always happy!

They are dancing to a Sing-a-long movie.
Or just running, jumping, and dog-piling.

I think they wore each other out by the end of the night!

Summer Fun

I am soooo behind in my blogging this summer! I have some random pictures in this post that don't really fit anywhere else.

Graham is eating a chocolate sheet cake. I made the cake and icing from scratch. I have been doing a lot of baking this summer. I have also gained a few pounds in the process.....

He loves cake!

Here is my cake and absolute favorite cookbook! Ree Drummond (Pioneer Woman) is going to have her own show on food network starting next weekend. I can't wait to watch it! If you like to cook, you need to buy this book. I promise you won't be disappointed.

This is what Graham does when I get distracted for a minute. He is trying to pour popcorn cheese from one cup to another. I have no idea how he even got the cheese in the first place.

Here are a few pictures from a weekend at Grandpa's house. They have a beautiful backyard. The kids got out the sprinkler and played with it on the trampoline.

Little Megan
(That's what Caroline calls her to distinguish between her and my friend, Megan)

This Graham's most favorite position to watch TV in.

Megan and I took the older kids to see Cars 2 in theater.
Caroline and Jack are best buds.

Caroline is reading to Graham. Is that not the sweetest thing?!

Caroline thinks she needs her ipad now. She hogged Matthew's all weekend.

The kids are having ice cream sundaes at Mimi's house.

During our visit to Mimi, we sent Caroline to bible school. She has a friend there that she gets to see sometimes, Ellie. They had a great time all week.

Caroline turns 5

My baby girl is 5 years old! Isn't that amazing?! We had already celebrated her birthday by going the San Antonio trip the week before. Still, I had to have some sort of party for her on her actual birthday. We invited our friends Megan and Brandon and their kids, Jack, Carter, and Grant to come celebrate.

Here are the big kids eating dinner. Caroline wanted chili dogs for her birthday dinner.

Caroline and Jack opening presents.

Megan got Caroline this cute hat as one of her gifts. The little boys like passing it back and forth. Carter is just 10 days older than Graham.

Caroline is so smart. I know everyone says that about their children, but she really is! She has been reading this summer and I got her the "Little House on the Prairie" books for a present. I have been reading her a chapter a night.

Silly Graham!

This is Brandon with Baby Grant. He is the happiest baby!

I put Megan to work....

Carter is the messiest eater I have ever seen! And I thought Graham was bad!

I thought this was really sweet. Caroline read Jack a book while they resting in the couch.

She's All That

Caroline has finished her first year of softball. I am so glad we decided to play this year! She had a great time and made friends with some little girls that will be starting Kindergarten with her this fall. Caroline was so excited to receive her "first" trophy.

These other pictures are of Caroline at her "end of the year" program at preschool. The theme was "Back in the 70s". All the kids had on 70s attire, which meant jeans, headbands, peace signs.....Caroline has on her shirt and purple tutu, of course. Her teacher said they wouldn't have expected anything less! I think Caroline wore skirts, dresses, and tutus about 95% of the school year.

These are Caroline's teachers, Mrs. Atkinson, Mrs. Harper, and Mrs. Athena. We LOVED her teachers. They were absolutely wonderful. Caroline misses them already!
