My sweet 6 month old!

Graham is 6 months old! I can't believe it! He is getting so big and learning so much. Here are a few highlights of the past month:
*Graham is still drinking breast milk. Just this week I have started to introduce a little formula, mainly because I have stopped producing as much milk as he needs.
*He eats a lot of baby food. He always finishes the whole jar. He eats fruit and cereal for breakfast and sweet potatoes, squash, or carrots for lunch and dinner.
*It doesn't take much to make him smile. Just give him a tickle or big grin.
*He reaches for everything! He will lunge out of my arms in passing to try to get something.
*He sleeps through the might except for having to be given the pacie on occasion.
*He can almost sit up, still pretty wobbly though.
*Our wonderful sitter, Ginger kept Graham a couple of times for a few hours while I was in class. It is the first time someone has watched him other than Ben or I.
*He takes two naps. One in the morning for about an hour and one in the afternoon for 2-3 hours.
*He is so much fun! A wonderful, sweet, baby boy!

The biggest achievement is that Graham has slept in his own room this week! This really is a bigger deal for me than him. I remember doing this with Caroline at the same age. When she was six months old Ben told me that she had to go to her own room. I remember the first night perfectly. I went through the normal bedtime routine, rocking and singing to her. I kissed her, laid her down in her crib and shut the door. Then I walked into the kitchen to Ben and cried for the next 30 minutes. Caroline fell right to sleep and never made a sound. I didn't sleep good for weeks. So.....I had to do the same thing now with Graham. I ordered a video monitor from Babies R Us and set it up in his room. I laid him down that night and just teared up a little. I thought I was doing pretty good until it came time for me to go to sleep. I didn't fall asleep until after 3:00 am. I love the monitor but I watched it all night! I guess it was better than having to get up to go to his room and check on him though. Anyway, Graham did great. He slept all night and hopefully I get used to it soon and will be able to sleep through night myself!

I can't believe that Graham is halfway to being one year old! I told Ben it's time to start thinking about another one. He told me I was crazy!
