Daddy-Daughter Dance

Caroline had a "Daddy-Daughter" Dance at her school this year. It was held for all the little girls from preschool up to 5th grade. She was very excited about this. She had been talking about it for weeks and counting down the days. We had to go buy a new "party" outfit and paint her nails and curl her hair. She wanted to look like a princess. At least I did talk her out of wearing her Cinderella dress-up dress!
I don't think she really understood what was going to happen. She has only been to dance class and kept thinking that there was going to be someone teaching them to dance. She caught on pretty quickly though! Once they started dancing she never wanted to stop! I think she wore Ben out. She loved it! They danced more than anyone there. Everyone else just sort of swayed around. Ben and Caroline were twirling and spinning and getting down! It was so funny and really sweet to watch.

It took me forever to curl her hair! It does NOT curl easy. Her hair is so fine and straight. I think I had to use a gallon of hair spray and even then it stay very curly long.

Here she is dancing on his feet during a slow song. They were playing the song by Lonestar, Let Them be Little. I actually teared up at this time. It was very sweet.

I have a feeling we will be doing this every year from now on. Caroline talked about it for days!

Valentines Day

Caroline had a Valentines Day party at school this year. They got to make ice cream sundays and give out their Valentines.

Graham loves to go to Caroline's school. Of course there are toys everywhere and I have to stay close to keep him from making a complete mess. After the big kids were done at the tables Graham sat down in one of the little chairs. He stayed this way until it was time to go. It was so funny! I guess he thinks he is ready for school now!

After the school party we went to Megan's house and made cookies with red and pink M&Ms. The big kids mixed up our dough.

Happy Valentine's Day!

A few Pictures...

These are just some random pictures I have taken that don't really fit in any other posts.

The "Big" Snow

This is Graham when he woke up and saw all the snow outside! It was hilarious!

Here are the kids trying to pass the time.

I am a little tired of all the same old snow pictures but I had to post some. I have never seen this much snow in Arkansas. It was so pretty at the farm.

This is the driveway.

We waited a day to get out in the snow. It was still snowing that first day and the kids don't like the snow in their faces when riding and sledding. When we finally got to play they had a great time.

Ben sent me on a mission to buy a sled this time. I went to Ace Hardware the day before the big snow. They said they were getting a shipment in at 2:00. I got there just a little after and there were people everywhere looking for those silly sleds. We finally got one....there were only three left! I ended up and got one for both kids. Graham is too little now but I figured he would want his own at some point. Caroline had a great time on her sled. I even rode it with her while Ben and Graham pulled us behind the four wheeler.

We were house-bound for three days. I think that is about the extent of time it takes for us all to drive each other crazy! We were getting pretty cranky near the end. The snow is nice but I only need it for a couple of days and then I'm through!
