Daddy-Daughter Dance

Caroline had a "Daddy-Daughter" Dance at her school this year. It was held for all the little girls from preschool up to 5th grade. She was very excited about this. She had been talking about it for weeks and counting down the days. We had to go buy a new "party" outfit and paint her nails and curl her hair. She wanted to look like a princess. At least I did talk her out of wearing her Cinderella dress-up dress!
I don't think she really understood what was going to happen. She has only been to dance class and kept thinking that there was going to be someone teaching them to dance. She caught on pretty quickly though! Once they started dancing she never wanted to stop! I think she wore Ben out. She loved it! They danced more than anyone there. Everyone else just sort of swayed around. Ben and Caroline were twirling and spinning and getting down! It was so funny and really sweet to watch.

It took me forever to curl her hair! It does NOT curl easy. Her hair is so fine and straight. I think I had to use a gallon of hair spray and even then it stay very curly long.

Here she is dancing on his feet during a slow song. They were playing the song by Lonestar, Let Them be Little. I actually teared up at this time. It was very sweet.

I have a feeling we will be doing this every year from now on. Caroline talked about it for days!
