A couple of weeks ago we invaded Texas! We had planned a trip with my family in order to celebrate Caroline's 5th birthday. We went back and forth on how to take this trip for quite some time. First we going to do the whole beach scene and then we thought about and even reserved a room at this really cool indoor waterpark hotel in Dallas. We finally decided to go to San Antonio. None of us had ever been and Mom got us plane tickets so that the kids could have that exciting experience also. Caroline loved riding in the airplane. There was a point where we hit some turbulence and I thought she was going to get scared. Instead she threw her hands up in the air and laughed, saying it was like riding a roller coaster! We stayed at the Sheradon Hotel which was right next to big, fancy outdoor shopping center. We visited the Alamo, famous riverwalk, and Sea World. The kids loved Sea World!!! This particular one had all the normal shows plus 5 roller coasters, water rides, an adult/big kid water park, and a Sesame Street water park for the little kids. There were rides for kids, a huge boat thing to climb all over and water shooting out everywhere! I didn't get many pictures at Sea World because I was afraid of getting my camera all wet!
Here is Caroline waiting to board her first airplane!
She looked so grown up carrying her backpack through the airport!

It was right outside her window!
We are on the hotel shuttle, riding to the shopping center.
Graham doesn't really know what to do without his car seat.
It was hard to keep him sitting down.

The kids on the boardwalk..... It was so pretty! There were a million places to eat down there! We had a hard time choosing. We actually ended up eating at Joes Crab Shack because I thought the kids might enjoy the music and dancing.
We went into The Rain forest Cafe to let the kids look around. The wait was extremely long to eat there so we passed.
Graham loved Joes Crab Shack! He danced and laughed the entire time! I was very grateful because it was late and he had been getting cranky.
To end this post, here are some picture of Caroline feeding the birds while we were waiting on the bus to take us to the airport. She stared feeding one or two and all of a sudden there were like twenty birds all around us! I'm sure the other people waiting did not appreciate this very much.
We learned several things on this trip, the most important being that is hard to go on a trip when you have a one year old and no car at your disposal! Taking public transportation is something I am glad to not have to deal with on a daily basis!
